I’ve spent quite a bit of time making videos. And it’s true—the time that I spend planning, shooting, and editing robs me of the time that I used to dedicate to this site.
But the two needn’t be mutually exclusive.
In attempting to wrangle some order out of my quickly burgeoning library of media files, I discovered that I have amassed quite a collection of stills. Most of them were captured to make YouTube thumbnails, not all of the were used.
But all of them are…well, beautiful.
I put a lot of thought into starting an Instagram account and ultimately decided not to. Honestly, I really don’t want to get caught up in the strange culture that is social media—follows, likes, comments… I create this content for me and for you—the few who are interested enough to actually delve into this little world of mine.
Perhaps someday I’ll change my mind, but for now these images will live here for us to enjoy. At the moment, the collection is small as it takes time to edit and upload them, but it will continue to grow. I call them ShoeSnaps. I hope you like them as much as I do.
Warmly,
